Our History

The historic Woolshed Inn Hotel opened in 1859. Situated in the historic town, Bordertown, the Woolshed is located 250km east of Adelaide.

As the name suggests, it is near the state border between South Australia and Victoria.

Bordertown is famous as the birthplace of former Prime Minister, Bob Hawke. Learn more about his life at the Bob Hawke Gallery.

Make time for the popular Walkway Gallery, which has major touring art exhibitions.

A short stroll from the hotel is the lovely Bordertown Recreation Lake.

Other attractions include the Clayton Farm Heritage Museum, Bordertown Wildlife Park, and Tolmer Park, which was a gold escort camp in the 1850s.
